Lion's Mane Mushroom Grow Bag (H. erinaceus)

Fruiting Difficulty Level: Low (Great for beginners!)

Fruiting Conditions: 50-80°F, 80-85% RH, moderate fresh-air requirements (less than is required for oysters, for example).

This listing is for a pre-inoculated, ready-to-fruit Lion's Mane (H. erinaceus) Mushroom Grow Bag.

Bag weighs approximately 5 lbs (2.3 kg) with substrate made from a blend of hardwood sawdust and soybean hulls.

Simple instructions for fruiting will be provided. The grower is responsible for creating a suitable fruiting environment for the bag to flourish.

The bag will arrive already inoculated, guaranteed to be viable, and free of contamination (specific percent colonization not guaranteed and will vary).

Typical yield per bag is around 1-2 lbs of fresh mushrooms.

Please note the following:
  • Due to numerous variables outside our control once the bag is in your hands (e.g., fruiting methods and environment), we cannot guarantee yield quantities.
  • The bag may arrive with in vitro fruits beginning to form; this is a normal sign of vigorous culture that is eager to fruit and will not significantly affect harvests.
  • Blocks may show signs of stress or cracking after shipping and must be left to rest for a few days before attempting to fruit. Any cracks will heal as the mycelium regrows. Jostling during packing and shipping may also impair visibility of mycelium prior to recovery.
  • Bags contain live mycelium that may experience stress or die if subjected to prolonged periods of extreme heat. Consider ordering at a cooler time of year if you live in a climate where the bags may be exposed to these conditions during transit.
  • We make no guarantees of any particular percent colonization upon arrival. Shipping stress may make the bag appear less colonized than it is, but it will quickly recover if instructions are followed. "Ready to Fruit" means that the bag is inoculated and requires no further action on your part to become fruitable, other than waiting for optimum colonization. A bag that is fruited while freshly colonized will perform better than one that is past its prime.

If your bag arrives damaged or otherwise compromised, please let us know right away so we can address the issue.
