Now you can enjoy some firefly magic any time you like with these adorable "Glow in the Dark Firefly Jars" that require no batteries or power cords -- just a UV light source like sunshine or a UV flashlight (included)! Each jar consists of five tiny metal fireflies suspended inside of a clear glass jar that have a special UV-reactive body and tail. (See pix.) When exposed to sunlight (or a UV light source like a UV flashlight) the beads store up light energy and when you place the jars in darkness the fireflies will glow for several minutes. (See pix.) Enjoy their subtle glow by placing the jars on any horizontal surface, or shake the jar gently while the lightning bugs are illuminated and it will appear they are dancing just like they do in your own backyard! (See pix.) Jars measure approximately 2-3/8" tall by 2-3/4" wide and come completed with a wire hanger at the top that swivels so that the jars can be carried or hung, if desired. Though any UV light source (like sunshine) will charge the fireflies, for your convenience a small UV flashlight is also included with your purchase. (See pix.)
