The Celeste fig Variety has an excellent fresh dessert quality with a rich naturally sweet flavor... In fact, it is also referred to as sugar fig because of its delicious sweetness.
It earns its nickname each summer with scrumptiously sweet fruit that has a rich, buttery smooth flavor and texture.
The Celeste Fig is a cold-hardy fig variety. This variety is vigorous and very productive.
The fruit has a tightly closed eye which inhibits the entry of the dried fruit beetle.

It is an excellent processing fig, either dried, frozen or processed as fig preserves/jams.
Now you can have your own fresh figs growing on your balcony (potted) or your backyard. Your neighbors will envy you.
A true classic Southern fig; sweet like candy and it's best-growing zones are Zones 6-9
