!!! Try Akadama Soil (3mm-6mm) for professional cutting propagation approach! It works better than Vermiculite and Perlite!!!
Fuyu tree, I cannot remember which specie it is. It has large fruits and tasted good!
zone: 7-10, full sun (but mine grows well in part sun/shade area)
It needs much longer time to root from cuttings and one of mine seems succeed in water!
***Cutting - Shipping Info: The cuttings will be soaked in 0.5% potassium permanganate solution KMnO4 for cutting disinfecting, and then dipped into water mixed with Rooting Hormone and then wrapped to keep them moist.
***For General Cutting Propagation
- potting mix suggestion: Vermiculite, Perlite (Walmart has the cheapest Perlite when it is on sale, check that out :)). Please do not use any fertilized soil! (Or you can try plant it directly in ground, that works well for me)
- where to place it: a place where has scattered light, maybe somewhere near a window.
- moisture: Place the pot on a tray and ensure it always has water
